Maison Martin Margiela, S/S 2003 Vintage Denim Trucker Jacket

The denim jacket is a classic staple piece that Martin decided to incorporate into his men’s line. Introduced initially in his first men's collection, he later produced multiple variations in collection's to follow. Martin based his version on the classic Lee Trucker jacket, he then made slight adjustments to the fit and used much higher quality materials and finishings.

Here we see a fine example from the S/S 2003 collection, constructed in vintage washed denim which shows further wear from over the years, producing fading and distressing individual to the garment. Further features included two chest flap pockets and a  buttoned closure; cuffs and waist adjustment. Finally, the jacket is lined in soft cotton for a luxurious feel and finished off with black contrasting buttons.
