Helmut Lang, A/W 1991 Perforated Blazer

By A/W 2001 Helmut Lang had been firmly established as a harbinger of the coming age of cool aesthetic. This show exemplifies Lang’s Androgenous yet thoughtful design with consistent details throughout the show such as the perforated materials as shown in this piece.

The Perforated Suede Jacket is an iconic piece from this collection and a great example of Helmut Lang tailoring. Worn on the runway as a suit with matching trousers the jacket is an ideal formal jacket, which can be worn in a multitude of ways to highlight the staple hole effect of the jacket. This item is made from a  poly-blend with a suede texture, featuring  all-over circular shape perforations. The jacket is an exceptional piece and is part of the permanent collection.
