Veronique Branquinho, A/W 04-05 Sherpa Lined Plaid Jacket

For her Autumn Winter '04-'05 collection, Veronique created a scene, set in an alienating atmosphere, inspired by "the red room" from David Lynch's Twin Peaks. This collection featured the iconic typical red floor and red curtains, alongside contemporary dance choreographer Sam Louwyck. Furthermore, checks are predominantly present throughout the collection, hinting at the world of hunters and lumber necks, using recognisable materials and designs.

This jacket is constructed in a bold, red wool plaid check, featuring two 3D front pockets, a double belted closure on the neck and waist, and a Sherpa lining. The Sherpa lining is also seen to cover the collar and poke out through the seams and edges of the jacket. Wonderfully practical and a great example of Branquinho’s menswear.
