Ruffo leather makers is one of the finest leather workers in Europe, supplying goods for many well known brands such as Prada, Helmut Lang and many more. In 1999 they decided to put out their own collections under the name ‘Ruffo Research’’, drafting in each year a different young designer to have full creative control on the collection. This provided a springboard for future heavyweights such as Raf Simons. Veronique Branquinho, A.F. Vandevorst, and Haider Ackermann.
