Raf Simons, A/W 2005 ‘History of My World’ Twisted Seam Denim Jeans
For his A/W 2005 collection Raf used the name to juxtapose what was actually put down the runway, not looking back on past designs but creating new shapes and silhouettes. Moving away from the branded, streetwear look with not a patch or print in sight. The trousers were a key focal point for this collection and here we have a great example.
Constructed out of a washed grey denim, using a classic 5-pocket upper, Raf then took to the leg to add the details. Using a twisted seam and purposefully making the leg length extremely long to create a stacked effect. Finished off with early Raf branded motifs such as the coin pocket patch and back leather patch.
