Miu Miu, A/W 2004 Belgium Military Parka with Detachable Nylon Liner

The denim/wool woven shell of the parka is directly inspired by 1980/90s Belgian army parkas, which has been deconstructed by my Miuccia by stripping back the design almost entirely. Leaving a front concealed closure where two buttons are visible, notably the epaulettes and cuff tabs have buttonholes with no buttons and four front flap pockets to finish off. We then move onto the lining of the piece, made out of nylon padded materiel and fully detachable which can be worn by itself. A wonderful piece encapsulating the mood of Miu Miu men with practicality and design at its essence.
