Maison Martin Margiela, S/S 2001 Cotton and Jersey Vest with Two Front Pockets

A very interesting and expertly constructed piece from Martin and the Italian producer who produced garments for the brand before switching to STAFF INTERNATIONAL S.P.A. Sartorial items from this era had, in our opinion, much better construction and fabrication than following years to come.

This pullover vest from the S/S 2001 collection is made up of two halves, on the front side out of a cotton pinstripe material backed with a Cupro lining and the back made of jersey stretch cotton. Offering a boxy shortened silhouette and a v neck construction. Finally, the piece is finished off with two lower pockets which are still stitched shut.
