Maison Martin Margiela, A/W 1999 Wool Nylon Car Coat

Constructed out of a felted wool and nylon blend, this coat used a statement style seen across both men’s and woman’s collections at this time. Featuring a mid-length cut, hidden-button closure with a snap button collar, exaggerated collar style and most notably the double asymmetric pockets on each front side. Another endearing detail is the irregular constant stitch showcasing the construction of the piece.
