Helmut Lang, S/S 2000 Pillow Neck 3D Pocket Bondage Jacket
For Helmut Lang SS 2000 collection there was a huge focus on simple shape and many translucent fabrics creating an emphasis on lightness. On the contrary to this the Helmut Lang Jeans label took a much different angle. With a reference to the AW 1999 collection creating a cutting edge streetwear selection and although no shown in the presentation the garments produced are still highly sort after.
Constructed in a cotton/polymaide blend which gives the jacket a luxuirous feel and look. The most prominent feature on the jacket includes the distinctive neck rest collar (inspired by the shape of travel pillows), concealing a functional hood and fully removable. A series of multi compartment pockets decorate the front of the jacket with two lower, two chest and one placed on the upper right. A button closure is seen with one exposed button half way down. On the interior, Lang's iconic bondage straps can be used to attach the jacket like a harness to the wearer’s body.
