Helmut Lang, S/S 1997 Layered Chiffon Dress

After launching his jeans label the year before Helmut Lang went on to continue to present this side of the brand in the Spring Summer 1997 collection following. Helmut went on to focus on refining his personal vision with the reinstatement of pieces seen in previous collections in new fabrics and slight detail modifications. The minimal stripe detail he is known for was evident across many of the looks in the show alongside chiffon dress, tailoring and nylon trims gave a sporty edge to the otherwise sober fitted garments.

A wonderful standout piece from the collection featuring a double-layered lightweight chiffon construction with a v-neck inner. Using a back zip closure inside of opened spine which offers an anatomical look.
