Helmut Lang, A/W 1997-98 Polypropylene Coated Denim Jeans

The Helmut Lang jeans line was just one year old in 1997 and it was producing some of its best and most coveted pieces in it’s short history. Garments such as the bulletproof vest, the M-51 military parka which was taken on with Langs twist and a wide array of new fabric treatments for denim.

These extremely rare exclusive jeans were made by using a reversed raw denim fabric consisting of 33% polypropylene offering a metallic look, this material was used only once during his career and was exclusive to this season. The jeans feature Helmuts classic 5-pocket design and a slim straight silhouette, finished off with matte branded silver hardware.
