Helmut Lang, 2004 Vintage Sanded Broken Denim Two-piece Set
From 2004, this two-piece denim set up is crafted from heavyweight denim that has undergone an intense process of sanding, washing and distressing to achieve a rather exaggerated vintage appearance. Like all Helmut Lang jeans, the construction on both pieces is extremely precise, with considerable attention to detail. All hardware is made out of brass with a silver finish and Helmut Long. All inner construction is done using flat fell seams which allows for years of wear without fraying.
The jacket features Lang’s signature 1-pocket design, whereby the chest pocket placed on the left is shaped in a way in which is reminiscent of a back pocket seen on denim jeans.
The detailing on the jeans is inspired by Levi's 1947 501XX model, featuring a traditional five-pocket design reinforced with metal rivets. The cut is Lang’s ‘Low Waist Bootcut’, consisting of a low rise wide leg and a slight flare at the bottom.
