Helmut Lang, 2004 Vintage Sanded Broken Denim Trucker Jacket
From 2004, this denim jacket is crafted from heavyweight denim that has undergone an intense process of sanding, washing and distressing to achieve a rather exaggerated vintage appearance. Like all Helmut Lang jeans, the construction on this piece is extremely precise with considerable attention to detail.
The jacket features Lang’s signature 'Classic 2 Pocket' design, based on Levi's 557XX jacket from the early 1960s. Like the original, the jacket has a panelled torso construction with two chest pockets, however, sticking to his streamlined and minimalist approach, removing the lower pockets.
