Emporio Armani, 1990s Double-zip Leather Quilted Flight Bomber

Emporio Armani was founded in the early 1980s by renowned designer Giorgio Armani after the success of his namesake label. With a wide array of inspirations taken from military garments and working with technical fabrics in Italy, the clothing produced - before moving its production to China - holds impressive quality and desirability.

Here we have an exceptional example of the direct military references Armani used in a vast majority of his menswear. Constructed in lightweight, thin but durable leather, the jacket features a multitude of details. Firstly, we see four asymmetrical pockets on the lower front portion, one pair being RAF style flap pockets.

The closure for the jacket is formulated with a double zip and button construction allowing the wearing to style multiple ways. More details include a metal fastening at the bottom with an elasticated hem and zipped cuffs. Lastly, the jacket is finished off with contrasting stitching all over. An incredibly well-made article, that can find its place as a staple in many wardrobes. Made in Italy.
