Emporio Armani, 1990s Coated Cotton Sherpa Astro Jacket

Emporio Armani was founded in the early 1980s by renowned designer Giorgio Armani after the success of his namesake label. With a wide array of inspirations taken from military garments and working with technical fabrics in Italy, the clothing produced - before moving its production to China - holds impressive quality and desirability.

Constructed out of a coated cotton creating a leather like illusion, communicating the Astro style even more so. Apart from the visibly obvious details such as the wired collar asymmetric cut and true Astro shape, further details include two zipped pockets on the front, double zip closure, a large button closure placed on the wired collar, zipped cuffs and discrete panelling throughout. The jacket is also lined with a faux Sherpa and woven cotton straps allow the jacket to be worn in a backpack style, offering itself to work in multiple seasons.
