Dries Van Noten, A/W 14 Quilted Patch Zipped Sweater

For his AW14 Dries gave us a great selection of military-inspired garments, now proving to be some of his most recognised detailing. RiRi zippers, bondage detailing and patched nylon were all seen throughout the collection, alongside his expert use of colour with tie-dyes and dip-dyes. Layering throughout gave us the ability to see the cohesive nature of the collection, even with the wide range of references, and one that will continue to stand the test of time.

The base layer of this piece is constructed out of a stretch cotton fabric with multiple polymaide patch details attached to the front body. Including a quilted light blue and dark navy nylon, with cotton taping across the chest and down the zipper. The double RiRi zipper runs asymmetrically and the details mentioned follow parallel.
